Father Gustave Treunet was born October 16, 1871 in Berck-sur-Mer, Pas de Calais, France to Fleury Treunet and Genevieve Lhuilly.
Father Treunet was ordained a Catholic priest at the Grand Seminaire of Arras in 1896. He came to Anacortes as Pastor on February 1, 1910 after being Pastor at Elma, Washington. He was the Pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for 38 years and on September 26, 1946 Father Treunet celebrated his Golden Jubilee as a Catholic priest.
Father Treunet passed away on September 17, 1948 in Providence Hospital in Seattle, Washington.
