Bob Tjeerdsma, Harbor Café patron.

Robert (Bob) Edward Tjeerdsma was born February 9, 1943, in Avon, WA. He was the son of Petrus and Elma Tjeerdsma.

Bob spent his early years working in the local canneries, before settling in as a local handyman until his retirement. He was avid collector of antique radios and stereo equipment. He was easily recognizable in his pride and joy, his yellow Ford pickup truck as he made his usual rounds to the local thrift stores and pawn shops, particularly the Kiwanis and Soroptimist.  Bob could also be regularly found at the local cafes having coffee with his many friends.

Bob spent most of his earlier years traveling the country looking for work. During these travels is where he met his wife, Elaine, in Helena Montana. They were married in 1969 and moved to Anacortes in 1970 where they raised three children.

Bob passed away peacefully on November 10, 2017 in Anacortes, WA with his family by his side.
