Alfred Jorgeson was born February 2, 1880 in Haugland, Norway to Jacob Johan Jorgesen and Nilsene Johanna Jorgesen. Alfred had four siblings: Emil, Axel, Petra, and Helga.

Alfred was 19 when he came to the United States in 1899.  He initially lived in Minnesota until 1904 when he moved to Anacortes.

Jorgeson was a commercial fisherman until his retirement in 1950.

A member of the Anacortes Lutheran Church, Alfred was married to Lillian “Lilly” Christenson, and they had three children.

Alfred passed away on January 9, 1971 in Anacortes, and is interred at Fernhill Cemetery.
